1 dead in collision early Sunday morning on I-244

TULSA, Oklahoma –

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one person died in a collision on southbound Interstate 244 Sunday morning.

The collision occurred at 5:23 a.m. on I-244 near 23rd Street in Tulsa.

After the accident, the driver and two children were initially taken to local hospitals.

The driver’s life was in danger, the two passengers remained uninjured.

The driver later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated.
