77-year-old Sinclairville man charged after tractor crash | News, Sports, Jobs



A Sinclairville man has been charged in connection with a rollover crash that occurred on Saturday. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies reported at approximately 3:42 p.m. that they were called to a crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor with personal injury on Sinclair Drive Extension. Upon arrival, it was determined that the driver of the truck, identified as John B. Spitale, 77, failed to yield the right of way to a tractor pulling a cultipacker and crashed into the rear of the tractor. Spitale was flown by STAT helicopter to Erie County Medical Center for further treatment. After further investigation, it was determined that Spitale was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was issued citations to appear in Gerry Town Court.
