2 men killed in shooting in South LA

LOS ANGELES – Two men were killed in a shooting in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park on Saturday afternoon.

The shooting occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday in front of 1122 Browning Boulevard, near the intersection of Budlong Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar.

A 33-year-old man died at the scene of the accident and a 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital, Cuellar said.

The victims were sitting in a vehicle when a man believed to be about 35 years old approached them, fired several shots at them and then fled in a white four-door sedan, an older model Toyota, he said.

Detectives are still investigating and do not yet know whether the shooting is related to gang crime, Cuellar said.
