Southern cuisine lovers rejoice! Beloved Mary Mac’s Tea Room in Midtown is reopening after a torrential storm caused part of the restaurant’s roof to collapse in March.

Ponce de Leon Avenue restaurant, an Atlanta staple for over 75 years, announced on social media that it will reopen on May 8.

Mary Mac’s Tea Room, Atlanta’s dining room, will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8! We are delighted to see all our loyal customers again soon! It’s taken two long months and a lot of hard work and dedication from our team, the City of Atlanta, and all of our partners to get here, and we’re proud to announce that we’re reopening our doors to usual hours, starting tomorrow.

Mary Mac’s said the extensive roof repairs also gave the restaurant “an opportunity to make some much-needed updates to the restaurant.”
