Nebraska man wanted for sexual assault of a minor arrested

BUFFALO COUNTY, Nebraska — A Cozad man wanted for sexual abuse of a child has been arrested.

Buffalo County Jail records show that 32-year-old William Harvey III was listed as an inmate as of Thursday on charges of first-degree sexual assault in Buffalo County.

An affidavit in the case has been kept under seal, but according to the records, he is accused of assaulting a victim between the ages of 12 and 16 on or about March 10.

His bail in that case was set at $25,000 and he is due back in court on June 17.

This isn’t the first time he’s faced legal trouble in the past year. According to court records, he’s currently facing charges of arson in Buffalo County and burglary in Dawson County.

In addition, he has been convicted of several offenses in various cases, including child abuse, domestic violence and drug offenses.
