Major fire in three-story home in Framingham is under investigation

A serious fire was extinguished at a home in Framingham Wednesday evening.

The Framingham Fire Department responded to Grant Street where a three-story home was engulfed in flames around 9 p.m. Officials said the back porches caught fire, which quickly spread.

According to the fire department, there was significant damage to the apartments on the third and second floors as well as water damage on the first floor.

No one was injured and emergency services are currently investigating the cause of the fire. It is not known whether the smoke detectors were working at the time of the fire.

The house is less than a block from Jack’s Abbey Brewery.
