Deputies: Couple found dead during welfare check in Rock County | MyStateline

EDGERTON, Wis. (WTVO) – Rock County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a married man and his wife dead in their home while conducting a welfare check.

At approximately 7:27 a.m. on May 22, police responded to the 9900 block of North Newville Road to conduct a welfare check. Officers quickly began investigating the scene when they found the man and woman who lived in the home dead.

Authorities said that based on the current investigation, they believe there are no suspects. They also said there is no danger to the public.

Police said this incident appears to be an isolated incident within the home.

The names of the deceased will be released by the coroner’s office at a later date. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
