Franklinville man killed in tree removal incident

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Franklinville man was killed in a tree removal incident Saturday morning, according to New York State Police.

Police responded just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday to Elm Street in Franklinville where 43-year-old Justin Howard was sitting on a work platform that overturned while he was trimming a tree.


When police arrived on scene, Howard was conscious and alert and was transported to ECMC but succumbed to his injuries.

According to police, there are no signs of foul play.
