Woman injured in two-vehicle collision on Garner Lane in Chico

CHICO, CA (May 17, 2024) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash at Garner Lane and Kathy Lane.

According to the Chico California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision occurred on May 14 around 9:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a northbound black GMC and a red Honda Civic without its lights on collided at the intersection. The Civic then skidded into a grassy area and the GMC crashed into a fence.

Minutes later, paramedics responded and transported the Honda Civic driver to a hospital with moderate injuries. According to police, the woman was able to get out of the car on her own. As a precaution, two people sought hospital treatment at GMC.

At this time, authorities do not know the factors that caused the collision. However, if anyone can assist traffic investigators, please contact CHP.
