Community Gathers for “Human BuffaLove” Event

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – BuffaLove Apparel invited hundreds of Queen City residents to Canalside for their “Human BuffaLove” event on Saturday.

This is the seventh time the company has created a buffalo with participants coordinating shirts and standing at designated locations for an aerial photo.

Donations from the event benefited WNY Heroes and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, organizations that provide assistance and resources to veterans and their families.

Patty Watson, owner of BuffaLove Apparel, said community love is their main concern.

“It was a tough job, six colors was a tough job, and the coordination worked,” she said. “We also had all of our friends from the Western New York Heroes here. People brought their kids, their babies, their dogs, their grandparents — just coming together and really caring about the project that we have here and then passing it on to our veterans,” she said.

Along with their tickets, attendees received a BuffaLove event t-shirt and photo op, enjoyed live music and were treated to lunch from Chiavetta’s BBQ.
