Hot and humid weather continues, first warning for Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Another First Alert is in effect for Wednesday as heat and humidity continue, with the heat index expected to rise above 100 degrees.

In Charlotte, highs will reach 35 to 40 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Humidity will make temperatures feel as high as 40 degrees. There is a slight chance of an isolated afternoon thunderstorm.

Thursday will remain hot with temperatures around 35 degrees, as clouds are expected towards the end of the day. Humidity will drop a little, but it will remain muggy outside.

Friday will be a little cooler, with highs expected to reach just above 80 degrees. There is a moderate chance of some rain and isolated storms, especially east of Charlotte.

This weekend and the first half of next week will remain hot but mostly dry with highs between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
