Southern California deputy shoots person after ‘domestic incident’ in San Juan Capistrano

An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a person in San Juan Capistrano on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 32,000 block of Alipaz Street because of a “domestic incident,” authorities said on X (formerly Twitter).


Sergeant Matt Parrish confirmed to KTLA that the incident involved assault and murder, but the exact circumstances that led to the shooting were not explained.

No information was given about the condition of the person who was shot.
