Police report missing firefighters from Liberty County, Georgia, found dead in Cocke County, Tennessee

COSBY, Tenn. (WATE) – Cocke County officials and special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating after two people were found dead in Cosby on Sunday.

Hinesville, Georgia police said Sunday afternoon that the bodies of missing firefighters Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander were found in Cocke County, Tennessee.

Anderson and Kuhbander were reported missing in Liberty County, Georgia on Tuesday, June 25. Both firefighters were with the Liberty County Fire Department, according to WSAV.

Cocke County Sheriff CJ Ball confirmed that two people were found dead in a vehicle on Hollow Road in Cosby on Sunday morning. Ball and a TBI spokesman did not release the identities of the dead.

The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday that Anderson and Kuhbander were last seen in the Cosby area, driving a dark-colored 2017 Ford Focus with Georgia license plate GEX655.
