Stark County man charged with child sexual abuse

CLEVELAND – A Stark County Township man was arrested Thursday on charges of sexually abusing multiple children, authorities announced.

Charles Link, 71, of Plain Township, was taken into custody by members of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and charged with five counts of rape of a victim under the age of 13. Link is accused of sexually abusing several children in the Town of Green between 2000 and 2012.

Sheriff’s detectives received a tip about the allegations against Link this month. Detectives are continuing to investigate Link to determine if there are any other alleged victims.

Authorities said additional charges could be brought against Link pending the results of the investigation.
