Lebanese authorities have arrested six suspected members of a pedophile gang, including three minors, who are influencers on TikTok, officials told AFP on Thursday.

According to several Lebanese media outlets, the main suspect is George Moubayed, “a hairdresser who became a celebrity on TikTok,” who is allegedly part of a gang of drug traffickers and child rapists, says local television station al-Jadeed.

According to the reports, the infamous TikToker used his social media fame to lure minors to his hair salon by telling them that they would appear in social media videos while getting their hair cut by him. This is one of the many methods the gang uses to deceive the minors online.

According to reports, “the suspects documented the rapes, then tricked the victims into watching the videos, blackmailed them, and threatened to post the recordings online if they spoke out.” They also blackmailed them into doing so to come back and bring their friends.

The identity of the leader of the gang that allegedly lures and rapes minors has been revealed.

Paul Mouchi, known as Jay, was born in 1993 and previously lived in Sweden. Jay and his partner Peter Nafaa are said to have founded the gang to exploit minors and take advantage of them using the TikTok app.

Jay is allegedly selling the videos documenting the rape of these minors on the dark web. He also spent over $1 million on promiscuous parties after which the rape was committed.

Jay is reportedly one of the main operators of one of the largest betting groups in Lebanon and beyond. He also has a long history of hacking and using the dark web.

Paul Nafaa’, known as Steven, allegedly abuses and beats his victims after raping them and even while raping them. Paul fled to Dubai.

According to reports, the gang has 30 members, 30 children were abused, and the parents of only eight of them have filed a complaint. Only six suspects have been arrested so far.

Many of the members of this ruthless gang are still on the run from justice. “The investigation is ongoing… and work is underway to arrest all gang members,” police said.

Journalist Radwan Mortada said one of the minors involved in the TikTok case committed suicide due to blackmail, while another, despite battling cancer, was forced to take drugs, which led to his death.

The families of the deceased have filed a complaint against the arrested gang.

This incident has led the Lebanese people to urge the government to take serious measures to ban TikTok in Lebanon. At the same time, the Beirut Bar Association asked its members not to use the application.
