Buffalo Council passes budget ordinance on final reading – Sheridan Media

The Buffalo City Council, at its regular meeting Tuesday evening, approved its annual appropriation, or budget ordinance, on third and final reading.

Ordinance No. 1417 approves a budget of approximately $17.6 million for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

According to the ordinance, the City’s general expenses are set at approximately $633,000; Capital improvements at $9.2 million; Protective Services at $2.3 million; Water at $1.7 million; street budget at $1.2 million; wastewater at $733,000; sanitation at $664,000; recreation budget at $427,000; outside agencies and affiliates at $418,000; and miscellaneous equipment at $288,000.

No changes have been made to the ordinance since the second reading.
