Investigations into armed robbery in Dover underway

DOVER, Delaware – An investigation is underway following an armed robbery Monday night in Dover.

At approximately 9:40 p.m., police say they were called to the area of ​​South State Street near Cool Springs Drive for an armed robbery. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 16-year-old was riding his bicycle when he was approached by an unknown man who allegedly knocked the victim off his bicycle, pointed a gun at him and took his property. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

The victim was not injured.
