Man arrested, accused of inciting minors

ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – A Rowan County man has been arrested and charged with solicitation of sexual abuse of a minor, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says it received information on June 2 about a man soliciting a 14-year-old for sex via Snapchat.

According to officials, the teen said she was lured by a man named “Moe,” who is also known to the Snapchat group as the owner of the Cannon Tobacco and Vape Shop in Kannapolis.

Officers stated that they made contact with “Moe” through Snapchat and that during the conversation, “Moe” expressed his intentions to engage in sexual acts with the juvenile. Officers said the vape shop was clearly visible in the background of one of the photos sent.

Officers said they drove to the vape shop in Kannapolis, where they were able to identify the suspect through Snapchat photos. He was identified as Mohamed Mosed Ahmed Al-Hareurey through his North Carolina license.

Al-Hareurey was arrested and charged with inciting child prostitution via computer.

He was lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center and held on $250,000.00 bail.

Investigators are trying to find out whether other young people could have fallen victim to Al-Hareurey.
