7 dead dogs found in U-Haul truck in northwest Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The owner of seven dogs was taken into custody in northwest Las Vegas after the animals were found dead in a truck, police said.

Las Vegas Metro Police found the truck at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of North Tenaya Way near Cheyenne Avenue after a report of a dog locked in a U-Haul.

The dogs were described as small and large breeds. The incident remains under investigation by the LVMPD Animal Cruelty Unit.
