Person from Silver Alert found safe and sound in Henderson County

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – We have an update on a Silver Alert issued regarding a West Tennessee man.

Silver alarm

Tuesday night, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation posted a Silver Alert on its Facebook page on behalf of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.

The alarm was for 79-year-old Raymond Irwin.

The post said Irwin was last seen on July 2 near Guy Hart Road in Reagan. He was wearing a black polo shirt and blue jeans. It also said he may have been traveling on an all-terrain vehicle and may need help returning if found.

Fortunately, the TBI updated its post around 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday to say that Irwin had been found safe and sound in Henderson County.

We went to Guy Hart Road on Wednesday morning where we saw several Henderson County Sheriff’s Office vehicles and an ambulance driving up and down the road.

It also appeared that the Madison County Fire Department had assisted in the search, as one of their buses was seen further down the road.

We also saw some police officers talking to people in one of the houses along the street.

The TBI also wanted to thank the public for spreading the word.

We have reached out to several agencies for more information about Irwin’s discovery, but further details are unconfirmed at this time.
