Former Lyft driver charged with sexual assault after giving Phoenix woman a ride home

A former Lyft driver is under arrest after police say he sexually assaulted a woman he was driving home from a topless sports bar. Phoenix where she works.

Last month, police say that 27-year-old Omari Aguirre Trujillo took a different route with the victim in his car and pulled over to the right.

They say he then touched her inappropriately. According to police, she told him to stop and repeatedly asked him to take her home.

When she reached her apartment, investigators said Trujillo followed her and tried to hug and kiss her.

When another driver stopped, he drove off.

According to police, he then texted her to come outside. The woman filed a complaint with Lyft.
