Call from Ranjana Madam… 7 college girls raped in MP’s Sidhi; accused men changed their voice through Magic Voice app to sound like their teacher

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Three men have been arrested for allegedly raping seven girl students in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The accused changed their voices using the Magic Voice app and called the girls, posing as their teachers.

According to a report published in Dainik Bhaskar, IG Rewa Range Mahendra Singh Sikarwar said the number of victims may increase as the investigation progresses.

Three of them, including the main accused Brajesh Prajapati (30) and his accomplices Rahul Prajapati and Sandeep Prajapati, were arrested. Brajesh Prajapati is married twice and has a daughter.

According to the information, Prajapati got information about voice-changing apps from the video streaming platform YouTube. Prajapati along with his aides called these college girls using the voice-changing mobile app ‘Magic Voice’ and posed as their teacher ‘Ranjana Madam’. The accused lured the girls on the pretext of scholarships and invited them to remote places to submit documents for the same. They informed the girls that a boy would pick them up on a bike from the specified location and take them to the teacher.

Believing that it was Ranjana Madam on the other end of the phone, the girls agreed. The accused then took them to deserted places and allegedly raped them.

All victims in this case belong to the ST category. The accused target those universities that offer scholarships.

Four of the seven girls filed a complaint. The police then launched a manhunt and arrested the main accused. During questioning, he stated that he was working with two other helpers, who were also arrested shortly afterwards.

The IG said that more victims were to be expected.
