German police find body after fire incident near Nuremberg

German police have found the body of a man linked to a fire and a threat with a firearm in Altdorf near Nuremberg in Bavaria.

They gave the all-clear and lifted a closure on the nearby A3 motorway. No one was injured in the incident, which began with an emergency call about a fire in a house and in a nearby forest.

The police had previously cordoned off part of the forest on their wanted list for the man who had threatened a firefighter with a firearm.

A firearm with burn marks was found near his body.
