HUNTING VALLEY, Ohio

Animal Complaint: Roundwood Road

Police responded to a report of two dogs running on a private road in the Daisy Hill-Roundwood Manor community on May 2 around 5:30 p.m.

Officers reunited her with two dogs that had been reported missing about half an hour earlier from her home on South Woodland Road, where they were returned.

Suspicious vehicle: Topping Lane

Using Flock Safety cameras, police checked the license plate of a suspicious car in the neighborhood around 9:30 a.m. on April 30 and found no further cause for concern.

Road closures, disabled motor vehicles: various locations

Heavy rains on May 5 caused several road closures around the village, but resulted in nothing but disabled cars.

The flooded roads also included areas of County Line Road near Fairmount Boulevard, where the Hunting Valley Service Department installed a pump to partially alleviate the problem.

Discussions continue between the village and Russell Township, believed to be the primary source of stormwater runoff, about a long-term solution.

Telephone Booth (Other): Cedar Road

A resident came to the police station around 1:30 p.m. on May 4 and asked for help controlling traffic for a delivery that was arriving at his home.

Animal (miscellaneous): Chagrin Boulevard

A report of an injured deer on the outskirts of Moreland Hills was handled by Chagrin Falls police on May 5 just after 9:30 p.m.
