Man and woman hit and killed by train in Van Nuys – Daily News

VAN NUYS – A man and a woman were killed Sunday night when they were struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train in Van Nuys.

According to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident was reported at 9:29 p.m. Sunday east of 7600 Woodman Ave.

The dead woman was believed to be about 35 years old and was pronounced dead at the scene, Humphrey said.

No other injuries were reported and none of the passengers or train conductors required medical attention, he said.

The train remained at the scene of the accident for investigation, Humphrey said.
