1 dead in motorcycle accident on I-10 W between Michoud and I-510

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-10 in east New Orleans between Michoud Boulevard and the I-510 interchange on Friday, May 24.

According to New Orleans police, the accident occurred around 11:16 a.m. on I-10 West. Police said the victim suffered fatal injuries when his motorcycle struck the median and he was ejected.

No other vehicles were involved.

Three lanes of I-10 West have been closed since 1:15 p.m. The far right westbound lane remains open.
