Investigation into suspicious packages leads to closure of Hollywood-Western subway station – NBC Los Angeles

Metro issued a warning Wednesday morning for riders using the Hollywood-Western station because it was closed due to a police investigation.

Trains were Skipping the B line station in Hollywood due to police operations.

A bomb disposal squad was dispatched to the station after a suspicious package was reported. The item was discovered at the station near Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue around 9 a.m.

There was yellow police tape at the entrance to the subway station. Further information was not initially available.

Normal operations resumed late Wednesday morning.
