Summerville Police Investigating Murder | Community news

On Friday, May 10, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Summerville Police Officers responded to Villas of Summerville located at 1310 Boone Hill Road in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a black male victim sitting in a parked vehicle who was fatally injured by gunfire. Dorchester County emergency responders pronounced the man dead and the incident was determined to be a homicide. The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name once next of kin are notified.
