Thousand Oaks man arrested Monday for stabbing on Highway 23 in June

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – A 30-year-old Thousand Oaks man was arrested Monday in connection with a road rage incident that led to a stabbing on Highway 23 in June of this year.

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 2:53 p.m., California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers were dispatched to a reported road rage altercation on southbound Highway 23 at Avenida De Los Arboles, the CHP-Moorpark Area said in a news release about the incident.

Arriving officers discovered a 65-year-old man with multiple stab wounds on the median. The man was taken to the local hospital for further treatment (CHP).

Investigators identified a 30-year-old man from Thousand Oaks as the perpetrator, and on June 10, 2024, the 30-year-old was located and arrested, the CHP said.

According to CHP, the 30-year-old was taken to the Ventura County Detention Center, where he was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon and is free on $500,000 bail.
