LAUREL, Delaware – Laurel police arrested a wanted Wilmington man after a chase through the Laurel area over the weekend.

Wilmington police notified Laurel police on May 1 that an arrest warrant had been issued for 36-year-old Brian Bell, who was known to frequent the Hollybrook apartment complex. At approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday, a patrol officer saw Bell get into a vehicle at the Hollybrook apartment complex and drive away. Bell was charged with failure to obey a police signal (another offense), tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, possession of the controlled substance crack cocaine, possession of the controlled substance powder cocaine, and several traffic offenses. He was released from the Laurel Police Department on $9,430 unsecured bail and was given a $6,000 cash bond on his since-issued warrant from the Wilmington Police Department.
