Police on scene of incident in St. Albert ask residents not to post photos on social media

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) of St. Albert are on site at Apple Place near Akins Drive on Saturday evening, responding to what they call a “police call.”

The ongoing incident is only taking place in one residential building, according to the RCMP, but police are asking residents to avoid the area and not to post photos of emergency responders on social media.

“A limited number of affected residents have been asked to remain safe until the incident is over,” said an RCMP statement issued at 10 p.m. on June 22.
