Maine man killed in Saco crash had his driver’s license revoked

A 64-year-old Biddeford man who died in a tractor-trailer accident Friday had his driver’s license revoked because of an unfavorable medical condition, police said.

The crash on the 500 block of Route 112 in Saco was reported at 9:03 a.m. Friday. Based on witness statements and evidence collected at the scene, police concluded that a black Nissan Versa sedan was traveling west on Route 112 when it crossed the center line and entered the path of an eastbound Western Express tractor-trailer .

The driver of the car, Douglas Emmons, 64, of Biddeford, died as a result of the head-on collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
