California business owner and volunteer attacked and beaten | News

CALIF. CITY – A California business owner and Meals on Wheels program volunteer was attacked and beaten by a man and a woman. The incident occurred on May 3 near her storeapprox; Employees at the nearby beauty salon heard the commotion and went to help.

According to the business owner, she described the attack as harassment for money and/or work. She remembers the man putting his hands over her mouth, hitting her and then the woman who was with him hitting her and hitting her in the head with a stick continuously. As a result of the attack, the business owner suffered a broken wrist, a broken rib and a collapsed lung. She also stated that her attackers were extremely combative and we continue to threaten them.

The business owner, who volunteers with the Meals on Wheels program in California, said she wants justice and that the people who committed this violent attack should be prosecuted. She also wants to make sure Meals on Wheels volunteers are protected. The vehicle in which the attackers arrived was left behind at the scene when they fled.
