Investigations underway after Evansville police find gunshot victim

HENDERSON, Kentucky (WEHT) – Evansville police are investigating after a gunshot victim was found early Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Michigan Street to conduct a welfare check. Police say they found a man sleeping.

According to police, they woke him up and saw that he had a wound on the side of his head. The man told officers he had been shot.

He was taken to hospital. No arrests were made.
