1 person died in plane crash in Doña Ana County

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person was killed in a plane crash in Doña Ana County Tuesday afternoon, June 25, a New Mexico State Police spokesman said.

Bill Provance, airport manager of the Doña Ana County International Jetport, said the plane took off from the airport in Santa Teresa and crashed on the plateau west of Chamberino.

The plane that crashed was an agricultural aircraft on a training flight, he said. There was a pilot on board, Provance said.
