Investigation continues after man was shot on Nahant Beach – Boston 25 News

NAHANT, Massachusetts – The investigation into a shooting on Nahant Beach that left one person hospitalized continues Thursday morning.

State police said the shooting occurred at the beach entrance around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The shooting victim was taken to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators appeared to be focusing on a white Chevy Traverse SUV, particularly the driver’s side window that was blown out.

Boston 25’s cameras captured glass strewn across the floor of a parking lot and a wheelchair next to the car.

A woman said she thought she heard fireworks, but they turned out to be gunshots.

“It’s crazy. It’s really crazy, especially when you’re spending a nice night on the beach. It’s a warm night and it’s really sad,” Monica Lee said.

Police said they were questioning a man matching the description of a suspect, but no arrests had been made yet.

Wednesday was the warmest day of the season and many people flocked to the beach.
