Air Quality Warning issued for Franklin County on Sunday

An air quality warning was issued for Central Ohio for Sunday.

The alert will last from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission warning, ozone levels in Delaware, Franklin, Licking and Fairfield counties may cause respiratory problems in sensitive populations. These populations include people with lung cancer, asthma and older adults.

To improve air quality, carpool, bike, or walk whenever possible, and fill up your car after 8 p.m. Avoid idling your car and use gas-powered lawn equipment (including lawn mowers) in the evening hours.

The weather forecast for Sunday predicts temperatures of just over 35 degrees.
