Kingwood residents benefit from storm debris removal services after flooding

The city’s solid waste department organizes collection drives as “part of (their) commitment to community recovery efforts.” Teams assessed the damage and planned operations to help those affected by the consequences of bad weather and flooding.

The city will continue to assess debris removal needs over the next two weeks.

Kingwood area residents are encouraged by the city to report their debris removal needs to the 311 call center, visit houstonsolidwaste.org and download the HTX Collects mobile app.

About 300 to 400 cubic yards of residential storm debris were identified in the first cycle, according to AlertHouston.
