US military bases in Europe raise alert level – The Presidential Prayer Team

Due to terrorist threats, the level of protection of the armed forces has been increased.

This week, the Department of Defense confirmed that U.S. commanders in Europe have raised the threat level for several military bases to the second-highest alert level.

“US European Command is taking measures to increase vigilance with our soldiers, their families and our facilities,” Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh said during a briefing. “This was done out of an abundance of caution. I will not elaborate.”

The US military uses the Force Protection Condition system to ensure a uniform level of readiness for its troops and bases. The US European Command increased the condition level to “Charlie” last weekend.

The spokesman added: “There are a combination of factors, including the events unfolding in the theater. Just for the sake of due diligence, it’s good to make sure our soldiers are taking the precautions they take for themselves and their families.”

This statement may refer to the increased global vigilance in the run-up to the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Pray with us as the Lord shows you…

  • For Pentagon officials who make recommendations to the President and Secretary of Defense.
  • For U.S. commanders in Europe who are increasing the level of protection of their troops as a precautionary measure against terrorist threats.
