Two dead and four injured in stabbing

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) – Police in Huntington Beach, Calif., are investigating after two people were killed and four others injured in a stabbing incident Thursday night.

Officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon around 11:15 p.m. and discovered multiple victims at the scene near the city’s pier.

Two were pronounced dead, the others were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, one person was arrested at the scene, but it is still unclear what led to the stabbings.

The stabbings occurred shortly after the city’s fireworks display took place in the same area.
