Pedestrian killed in collision on I-580 in Richmond

(BCN) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car on Interstate 580 in Richmond early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., CHP officers received a report of a pedestrian collision on westbound I-580 near the Harbor Way exit.

Due to the accident, the westbound lanes of the highway were closed for at least two hours before they were fully reopened.
