Man involved in Broad Street accident on Friday dies in hospital

A rollover accident that occurred a week ago on the east side of Erie has now ended fatally.

Police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident near the corner of East 26th Street and Broad Street around 11:30 p.m. last Friday evening.

The driver, identified by the Erie County Coroner as 25-year-old Rshawn Bibbs, died at the hospital.

Bibbs was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown through the sunroof of his SUV.

Coroner Lyell Cook concluded that death was caused by accident as a result of multiple blunt force injuries.
