Bruce B Downs murder investigation underway

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 19000 block of Bruce B Downs Blvd at Regents Park Drive.


The HCSO Communications Center received a call at 2:51 p.m. reporting a fatality after shots were fired in the street on Regents Park Drive. When officers arrived, they found an adult male dead.


The detectives are on site and are intensively investigating what happened this afternoon.



“It is absolutely appalling that our community has to drive past a dead man on the road,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I ask the community to come forward if they have any information. No tip is too small.”
