Court finds four Philippine police officers guilty of drug war murders

Four Philippine police officers were found guilty Tuesday of killing a father and his son, court officials said, in a rare case in which law enforcement officials are charged for their participation in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war that claimed thousands of lives.

The four Manila police officers were sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for shooting two victims during a police anti-drug operation in a Manila slum in 2016, Manila Regional Court Judge Rowena Alejandria said in her published written ruling.
