Scotland’s Ryan Porteous jersey banned

After the weak performance of DFB captain Ilkay Gündogan, the European Football Championship could also be over for the Scot Ryan Porteous.

The European Football Union (UEFA) banned the defender for two matches after he received a red card in the opening match against Germany (1:5). Thanks to his tough defense, Porteous scored the 3:0 penalty just before half-time.

The 25-year-old will also miss the Scots’ two remaining group matches against Switzerland on Wednesday and Hungary on Sunday.

Porteous national coach Steve Clarke will be available again if the team progresses.
