Two people arrested, including a juvenile, for armed robbery

Two people were arrested after a series of armed robberies. The first robbery occurred near the University of Cincinnati and the second in a parking garage. “The complainant was sitting in her vehicle. The suspect held her at gunpoint. He stole her purse in her vehicle,” the dispatcher said.An armed robbery took place at the corner of Sycamore and Elliott streets on June 6 in Over-the-Rhine, an arrest report said. “Looks like aggravated auto robbery. Sycamore and Reading,” the dispatcher said. The robbery occurred across the street from a popular diner and busy apartment building. An arrest report states that 18-year-old Jayden Adams and a minor pointed a gun at a woman while she was sitting in her car in the parking garage. They ordered her to get out of the vehicle and stole her 2015 Buick Encore and other personal items. The next day, Cincinnati police released a video of the suspects searching for any information they could. Days before that incident, on June 4, an arrest report said the same two suspects approached a man at a bus stop on Jefferson Avenue. They demanded that the victim hand over his belongings while he waited for his ride. WLWT spoke to the victim, who wished to remain anonymous. “I was just scrolling through social media and one of them tried to take my phone away from me,” the victim said. “One of them asked me if I had a gun, to which I had no answer, and then I got scared. I stood up and they told me not to move.” In an interview, Adams admitted to participating in those crimes, according to the arrest report. On Friday, he was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated burglary. Cincinnati police confirmed that the juvenile was also arrested. Adams is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on $500,000 bail. He also faces charges of domestic violence and strangulation. He is due back in court later this month.
