Memorial service for Carlisle teenager who died in car crash

A LIFETIME SERVICE IS BEING HELD RIGHT NOW AT HAMILTON’S SOUTH TOWN FUNERAL HOME IN DES MOINES. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD TOMORROW MORNING AT TEN IN PLEASANT HILL. SCHAEFER’S FAMILY HAS SENT KCCI A STATEMENT IN HONOR OF THEIR DAUGHTER. IT SAYS THEY WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO FASTEN YOUR SEAT BUCKLE AND JUST DRIVE SLOW DOWN. 16-YEAR-OLD PAYTON CLARK AND 15-YEAR-OLD HARLEY HILL WERE ALSO SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT

Parents of a Carlisle teenager killed in a car crash advise using seatbelts and reducing speed

Funeral services are currently underway for a Carlisle teenager who died in a rollover accident last week. 15-year-old Hanna Shaffer died last Sunday. 16-year-old Payton Clark and 15-year-old Harley Hill were also seriously injured in the accident. No current information on their condition is available. On Monday evening, Shaffer will lie in state at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home on Southwest 9th Street in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in Pleasant Hill. In a statement to KCCI, Shaffer’s family wanted to “remind everyone of the importance of wearing your seatbelt and simply driving slower.”
