One dead after shooting in Chester

CHESTER, SC (NEWS FROM QUEEN CITY) — A suspect is dead following a “shooting” Monday night, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities first reported the incident around 7:40 p.m. According to authorities, one person was killed in a shooting near Flint Street in Chester.

The investigation on site is still ongoing and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is en route.

Authorities have not released any information about what led to the shooting or whether anyone was arrested.
