Ripley County man arrested for impersonation, innuendo and invasion of privacy

After numerous complaints from district residents, an arrest was quickly made.

(Ripley County, Indiana) – An arrest has been made following several complaints from Ripley County residents about threatening letters in their mailboxes.

Jason Arnoldy, 57, of Ripley County, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon and charged with abuse of office, intimidation and invasion of privacy.

According to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Arnoldy identified himself as a U.S. Marshal with the Ripley County District Court when he placed threatening letters in mailboxes and on homes in Ripley County.

He is being held in the Ripley County Jail without bail pending his initial hearing.
