Airplane makes emergency landing in Hebron and semi-trailer rolls over in Beach reported – The Dickinson Press

HEBRON, ND (June 17, 2024) – A small crop sprayer aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing due to engine failure on the morning of June 17, 2024. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. east of Hebron.

Pilot Pierson Chase reported he was returning from a spraying mission south of Glen Ullin when the plane’s engine began to stall and sputter. Chase attempted to approach the Hebron runway, but the engine failed completely. He then attempted to land on Morton County Road 89, north of County Road 140, but the plane was eventually pulled into a ditch. Chase was uninjured and immediately notified authorities.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol arrived at the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are investigating the incident.

ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES ON HIGHWAY 16 IN BEACH

BEACH, ND — A semi-trailer rollover left the driver injured at approximately 8:19 a.m. on June 11, 2024. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 16 and 16th Street near mile marker 75 in Beach, North Dakota.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Christopher McNulty was driving a 2013 Kenworth truck eastbound on Highway 10. As McNulty approached the intersection with Highway 16 to turn south, he took the turn too fast, causing the truck and its trailer to tip onto their left side. At the time of the crash, road conditions were dry and the weather was clear.

McNulty, who was wearing a shoulder and lap belt, sustained injuries and was transported by Beach Community Ambulance to CHI St. Alexius in Dickinson. The Golden Valley Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Highway Patrol arrived at the scene. McNulty was provided with the necessary care.
